We have had a myriad of issues with our H2D. We got the printer (from a preorder) and it printed fine for about 4 hours. After that we ran into issues with the Nozzle Offset Calibration sensor. We contacted Bambu Support about this and they sent us a new sensor. It seems to be working now (though when I first installed it, it was only working about 85% of the time. After another 15 hours of printing (Total of 19 hours, with a couple hours of lasering while we were awaiting the new part to arrive) but then we started running into issues with Z Axis homing. We were repeatedly getting the error “Z axis homing failed; the task has been stopped. [0300-4000 120329]” and “Auto Bed Leveling failed; the task has been stopped. [0300-4002 123729]”
I have done a fair bit of troubleshooting on this - I have essentially taken it apart twice now. I loosened all of the screws that tie the heat bed to the axis screws, and tried leveling that, hoping that the ties were too restrictive causing the motor current to spike when slight deviation was reached in the axis screw. This did not work however. I also tried tightening the z axis belt tensioner to no avail (This actually made it worse) I verified all the connections were good behind the back panel, then loosened the z axis belt tensioner again and it was still having issues. I have noticed thought that it only appears to have issues when the left nozzle is the one being used. It can home on the right nozzle just fine. However the odd part of this is when I home using the left nozzle, the bed doesn’t even contact the nozzle, it gets caught up about half way up the z axis screws. I am at a bit of a loss, not knowing what else to try. I have scoured the web but because this printer is so new it doesn’t appear as though anyone else has had this issue. I have contacted Bambu support about this issue but have not heard back from them for over 4 days now.

Just get a replacement at this point. Tell them you have tried everything you can. It’s a pita but it’s honestly the fastest solution.

I am having this exact same problem when trying to print with the left hotend. Right hotend works fine. It also started happening at around the 20 hour mark.
It looks like this may be an issue with the left eddy current sensor having a loose connection or defective. I’m going to try disassembling the print head to get at that next.
