Recently, I noticed that the Z-axis lead screw (the one next to the door on the latch side) appears to be offset at the top end (see attached photos). It also seems to be twisting the plastic bushing.
Could anyone please point me to the relevant instructions for addressing this issue and properly realigning the lead screw? I suspect this may be causing a systematic tilt in the X/Y plane during long prints, particularly for parts with large spatial dimensions.
This is normal, the leadscrew is loose in that location to provide free self alignment. The silicone sock can do that and I think bambu even removed it from their printers at some point in time.
Unless the leadscrew is really hard contacting the inner race which could be a sign of a bent leadscrew (in that case you will certainly have error during print or at least calibration) it’s not cause for concern
I am concerned that this may be causing the misalignment observed in the printed parts, especially in the alignment between holes and the corresponding through-hole pins after flipping the mating parts. The effect is pronounced when the dimensions of the prints are larger than 100 mm. Do you think that may play a role?
Unlikely, misalignment points more toward a design issue - tolerancing or just a misalignment, or if those are good it could be a loose belt or belts on the CoreXY system.
The vertical linear guides are the things that are truly responsible for ensuring there is no lateral movement in the bed.
Thank you. Will check the belt tension as well. Parts match each other in the design as intended (after making joints and alignment, I check the interference between the parts before printing) and had no issue when asked someone else to print the parts for me.
