B.Bourbonais
I’ve been printing about 5 years now and finally got a P1S w/AMS printer.
Generally I print holders, spacers and tool holders for my machine shop equipment tools, but also quite a few “home part repairs/updates” - everything from clips to mount my Christmas lights to the staircase railings, or a replacement handle for my snow shovel… etc… etc.
Due to my previous employment as a systems designer/rigger with a Theatrical contractor, I have many ideas on how to improve things there, and make some prototype parts for solving the issues with metal items… or just a simple spacer or guard for cables on structural members (protects them).
I mostly draw, in CAD, the part I want to print and export it as an stl for slicing and print from there.
I enjoy what I work at with the printers, and have even helped several astronomers with replacement parts for their telescope mounts or accessory mounts.
Maybe later I’ll get into models - but, for now - that’s it.
If you have any questions - let me know!
Thanks!
