I work in Automotive as a software engineer, and in my part time have been recently enthusiastically getting back into 3D printing after a hiatus of some 13-14 (!) years, since I first self–sourced and built a RepRap under the guidance of Vik Olliver. Vik is one of the first (if not the first) person other than Adrian Bowyer to build a functioning RepRap, which proved Replicating Rapid Prototyping Machines could be done, and unleashed the chain of events that led 3D printing to be as accessible and cheap as it is today!
I have since built 1 Voron 0 and have 2 other Voron builds on the go, including one which is a novel Voron conversion from a low–end bedslinger (Sovol SV06+), and recently bought 2 Bambu Lab printers (P1S, X1C) for extra printing bandwidth while I carry out these projects and generally print useful things (not just to aid with 3D printing!).
