I bought my first printer (a CTC replicator1 dual extruder) in 2015.It isn’t a hobby or a business it is just a tool that complements my metal and wood working machines. It was fine until my son bought a Prusa Mk4 this year. The difference was eye opening! It is too big for the space I have so I bought a P1S with AMS as, despite having a much larger print volume, the footprint is actually less than my old one. So far I have been generally pleased with it except when a brand new reel of PLA which I had used in several positions left little pieces of broken filament all over. Took 5 goes stripping the AMS to clear the subsequent problems.also had to use the external reel to push bits out of the extruder. Now happily printing away .
