I actually dont see anything wrong with the points 3.75 is the usually Daily Reward. Getting almost 30 points for a reskinned drinking pot for geckos is insane. Not to hate but there are much more innovative and harder models that earn less for that. Even tho i like the style of your models but being realistic here.
It’s not about the models but the points for the download/prints. I always receive the points associated to them but not today, so I was asking about others with this problem too.
It could be a glitch or something related to a MakerWorld update and they are delayed.
5 Days ago the reworked the points system, where its explicit stated that models with less “quality” or less “orginal” design get less points. Thats in my eyes a good counter to the same “model spammer” to farm insane amount of points and you see 1 guy literally doing a fully Transformer capable car and getting less points than somebody who only loads up a square or a circle with rounded edges. Again i do not mean to hate but thats literally facts and Makerworld stated they wont say how the point system calculates they want to see how it will work without publishing it because then the scammer would easly adapt to it.
You are mixing concepts.
One thing is the amount of point assigned to each model at reaching a tier and other (the problem I’m pointing at) is the delay/error loading those points in the users point account.

What i think is you expect points for a model that reached its “maximum status” and doesnt give anymore any points. What i realized is you think its delayed but you literally dont get points anymore. As an example if a circle with round edges gives 30 points for 100 downloads then the next time it gives you 300 points you gonna need 500+ downloads otherwise the point system will be flooded with 0 concept designs. If we got on the same page here.
I know the download+prints tiers.
I control my points daily and I always received them in about 2 days after generated. Not today. First time no one of them has been added to my account,. That why I asked.
I do not know if your misunderstanding of the subject is trolling or that you are so new to the forum that you have zero context.

23m minutes on the forum is hardly sufficient time to have consumed this subject matter.
I haven’t yet, but statistically it might as well be.
That is a good example of how the system needs to be balanced. But, that is entirely unrelated to the subject of this post.
I hope you are not accusing @ElektroQuark of uploading geometric shapes and pretending they are valuable.
There is something very important missing in your comment and from the changes that BL keeps making to the point rewards.
They favour “complex being worthy, but unpopular” over “functional, and popular”.
I love the complexity of some of the designers on MakerWorld. But a complex model with an audience of 5 should not be favoured over a simple design that solves a problem for tens of thousands, yet here it does.
But, again, that is NOT the subject.
I have had my own long dry spell on points. Really long. Very few points. Then recently a pretty unexpected windfall as some models got a bunch of points rewards.
No idea why or how except they weren’t the typical download count / print count awards.
The point is if you go towards rewarding simple models that means that there are going to be 5000 Bots that upload the same model and all those 5000 bots download each other the models. Thats the big issue if you go towards the “simple” stuff and by no means i mean to harm anyone who models anything if you make a square you make a square but stop with the point hungry attitude be happy that there are makerworld people who enjoy the stuff. As soon as you go towards the issue that you deserve points. No. Nobody of us deserves anything its purely a Makerworld “Thank you” for us to upload. Thats it.

Im curious how did Makerworld became for so many people a “Business” where they want to earn money and become rich… Lets pretend Makerworld cuts off all the points. Im still staying here and posting and not expecting a single reward from it cuz i just love designing and the fact that people download my stuff.
All you need to do is look at the download counts on popular models.
The points awards used to be very straightforward and people made thousands of dollars equivalent off the downloads. They posted photos of lines of printer boxes and walls of filament.
That’s how it became a business for many. The rewards were bountiful and people would make bank day after day.
And that’s what attracted the scammers. They formed social media groups so everyone knew who to boost and download and they did. That’s how cubes, pyramids, spheres, and the alphabet became top downloaded files. And they also made bank.
It’s not that the real makers here deserve points. It’s that we watch as the scammers literally steal points and perks from us. And Bambu has been very slow to do anything about it. There isn’t an infinite supply and the scammers tremendously reduce what actually comes our way.
It’s not entitlement. It’s fairness.
And something else you should note. Nobody is really saying I want more, more, more. Read what people are saying. They are generally just saying they used to make x number of points but now they are down to 1/2 x or 1/4 x or lower. They are generally comparisons with the points they used to get which is very fair.
And here we are where i check the profile that claims for the points and see 6x times the same model but just called differently and making 6 remixes of the same model…
I never said all claims were legitimate or reasonable. You asked how MW got where people treat it like a business and I answered. If you are unable to be reasonable and understand that it wasn’t and can’t be a blanket statement, that’s on you.
You can find exceptions to everything. I don’t know how long you’ve been here but I tried to explain the why. It’s frustrating you took that as a reason to discredit.

I answerd to this argument of yours, people that are literally posting the same model 6x and making 6x model remixes of the same type are asking for points.
But since this is a topic like reddit and discord etc. People will never go to the “same” agreement or whatever. Wow. You sure parse carefully but also very selectively. In the rest of that post I used generally and wiggle words. I know there are people not only gaming but protecting their grift.
