i bought my P1S at end of Oct, 2023, and bought AMS at beginning of Nov. And I have met a mad issue on my P1sc these days.
about 2 weeks ago, the first Z axis homing failure happened. BBL asked me to follow their guide to check wiring on back(need to open back panel first), i did, but found nothing abnormal. Power on it, printer run as usual until yesterday, same homing issue again. I reported again, same reply as formula. I didn’t, just restart power and wait for 2 hrs, do calibration, pass, print from studio, failure. However, it printed an original 3MF file on BBL TF card successfully. keep trying print from Studio, successed. print from Studio again, failed. print from TF, successed… Suddenly, I realized, everytime printing from TF success, every first time just after printing TF can success, but fail from second print from Studio. That means, this is an software issue instead of hardware.
I became crazy now, this is not the first kind of issue with this machine.
Look, I’m not here very long and I admit to being just a simple country boy from NYC… but could you kindly tell me WTF is “TF”?
You wouldn’t by chance be posting in a language other than English and then using a translator? If so, your message is being garbled.

I just wanted to share my experience of bed homing issue. This is the second time to happen. And nobody can tell the correct reason and know what happens. So the only I can do is waiting BBL to send out parts. Usually, they send out in next day, hopefully they do tomorrow, I could use that printer the day after tomorrow. however, one issue causes 2 days to struggle, and 2~4 days to wait for spare parts, that is painful.
Ummm, i may need to keep some spare parts, in case my P1S does not work well in future.
Thank you. I learned something new today. I’ve been in tech - much of that in the computer manufacturing space - since 1982 and I have never come across the term TF. Either I am living a sheltered life or it’s one of those attempts where some marketing A-hole tries to hijack industry terminology and create their own term which obviously, never caught on in this case.

Funny quick off-topic story on industry acronyms.
Summary
Back in the day when TLA’s(three letter acronyms) were being made part of Product Manager pay plans, I sat with the Intel PM and HP PMs for interface technology at conference we were at. In those days Intel was minting buzzwords so fast they actually had a printed 1/2 " phonebook-like called “The Intel Buzzword Dictionary” just to help customers. Customers loved them and they’d always run out of them. HP was no different.
At any rate, in conversation with this one PM I asked him how they came up with the name for what was then the only desktop scanner interface called TWAIN(1990’ish). We were at the bar and his lips were loosened a bit by a few drinks I bought him. He told me the following story:
'Well... you know how our bonuses are structured. We had a deadline to get an acronym onto a marketing plan for the next support chip. It was midnight in Palo Alto and the conference room was filled with empty beer bottles and pizza boxes. We were there for over 12 hours and wanted to get home. We couldn't come up with a name so one engineer suddenly stood up and said "Screw it", he wrote on the whiteboard "TWAIN".

And that’s how the now long obsolete TWAIN interface for desktop scanners came to be.
i did not see any update of when to send that cable to me, then contact BBL shop on Taobao today. However they cannot tell exact time, just say within 48hrs, and this 48hrs is from now, not 48hrs from yesterday, it means i have to wait for such loooooong time.
5:25PM yesterday, BBL HANDY replied cable was picked up by SF express(the top courier in China), but i check with SF, they did not have that parcel. I then check with BBL official shop on TMALL.com, staff said they did. however, i check with SF again, still no bill on their system. But BBL HANDY replied again, they did send. I checked again with BBL shop on TMALL, staff said they will check and push.
I really get a big headache. Since on this Tue, I promised to provide a part for my friend from his coming diving trip. He will leave from Kunming in early of Jan 21. So I have to get this cable within 4:30PM today as latest…, then 30min to install, try. and about 4hrs to print. The SF pickup service opens until 10PM, and the printed part will arrive Kunming tomorrow, I will use fastest service. I am in Guangzhou, which is about 2 hrs fright to Kunming.
I have sent a mail to BBL, contact@bambulab.com. I do hope they can get that and send out cable within this morning, then i can have the latest hope to catch up SF lastest fright.
Also, I wish changing this cable can solve this issue.
Of course, I do wish this is the last issue on my P1sc…
