First time I’ve ever had to do this on any of my printers, but rolled back to the release version of the firmware after a couple of prints. Beta’s have always been fine in the past - Nozzle clumping detection kept giving me false positives, even on the low setting. Plus, I had issues with bed levelling at the start of the print.
Have you done a factory reset after update, this is what I do with every update. I did not experience issues with bed leveling or clumping detection myself.
Come to think of it, I normally do a full calibration, but didn’t this time. Maybe that and/or factory reset is the answer. Will try again when I’ve finished printing. Thanks for the advice.
I’m not even on beta and I keep getting the false nozzle clumping detection errors. I actually just had an air printing false detection about an hour ago.
I did have false detections before the beta update. I had set it to low and it was OK but I set it to medium on beta and no detection so far. Beta seems to have fixed the issue.
That’s good to hear. Can’t wait for them to release the update. I enabled beta updates but didn’t get anything yet, so I turned it back off and decided to just wait for the stable release.

I’ve installed the 01.01.02.00 Beta and run a full calibration. Everything looked fine so far. But when i use both nozzles to print something, the head crashes into the excess chute nipple (the smaller orange one, which is bent towards the fron door). The head is cleaning the left nozzle by wiping over the soft rubber and whilst doing this, the back side of the head crashes brutally into that orange thingy, bending parts and creating awful noises. Didn’t had that with the old firmware. Someone else experiencing the same issue?
2x 0.4mm standard nozzles installed.
Hi, no this is a different Issue you’re pointing at, which is even worse…
In my case, the head moves to the LEFT and whilst doing so, the head seems to be too far in the back of the printer and smashes into the small orange nipple from the excess chute. It bends several parts from the excess chute, before the nipple flinches back behind the head. I’ll try to make a video this weekend.
Yes. After i installed 1.1.2.4 i did a factory reset and a full calibration. It got slightly better but still far from good. I also need to add, that this crashing is only happening during the cleaning of the left nozzle on all the movements to the left.
Could you please confirm if you have opened a ticket about this issue?

Thanks a lot. No i don’t have an open support for this, but i think i found the issue. Whilst trying to film the crashing, which was rather complicated, i noticed, that the Filament Cutter Stopper was not in a 90 degree angle, when the head was in the back. After Homing, the Filament Cutter Stopper was maybe at 100 degrees, so a bit more looking to the back of the printer. Then i slightly bent the gear-rack of the Filament Cutter Stopper and clicked the gear just one tick farther. Now, the gear-rack of the Filament Cutter Stopper is no longer plane with the Filament Cutter Stopper Case, when the printhead is in the middle of the printplate, the gear-rack is protruding maybe 1mm. BUT i noticed 2 extreme different behaviours. Now, when the head is homing, it no longer drives back into the very back of the printer, but it stops earlier and the homing is way faster than before. Before the head was homing 3-5 times until completed, now only about 1-2 times and the head is no longer heavily (but still slightly) crashing into the nipple from the excess chute box. So it seems like that the recognition of the head end position was somehow failing, because the Filament Cutter Stopper Module was not correctly aligned (gears and rack inside). I’ll try to make some pictures to make it more clear what i’ve done here to fix it.
Now i loosened the screws of the chute box and pushed the chute box down as good as possible and then tightened the screws again. NOW its working perfectly, no more crashing at all!
I wanted to share that I’m experiencing the same issue with my H2S after updating to firmware 01.01.02.00.
After the update, the hotend was printing extremely close to the build plate, leaving visible scratches on it. The Z-offset was clearly reset or altered by the firmware update. I did a full calibration afterwards, but the damage to the build plate had already been done.
Important to note: I did NOT install a beta firmware. The update was installed directly through the printer via the official stable release channel.
Looking at the firmware changelog, it mentions: “Fixed an abnormal noise issue when the heatbed rises during certain calibration steps” – which strongly suggests the heatbed behavior was faulty in the previous version and likely caused the incorrect Z-offset.
Has anyone else with an H2S experienced this? Would be good to know how many people are affected.
