1 of 4 sides rough like sandpaper // PLA CF

Hi there,

I have printed 4kg of Bambu PLA CF in the past without any problems.
Since two days I have some problems with the PLA CF.
After 20-30 layers the extruder gets clogged and the already printed part is as expected on 3 sides and rough like sandpaper on the fourth side.

The filament is dry.
I have this problem with an old spool and a new one.
Humidity in AMS is below 10%.

Std. 0.2mm thickness setting

Any ideas?
Maybe a worn nozzle? (I print with X1C)

Thanks and best regards
Philipp

Hi,

if someone comes around my post - I found the root cause and solution for the issue.
Some CF partly jammed my nozzle. Thru to that, the filament was not extruded straight from the nozzle. I tried a cold pull and noticed that the filament came out at a 45 degree angle.
Cleaning the nozzle with the 0.4 needle and removing (it took some force - even after heating up the nozzle to 250 degree) the CF solved the problem. Now everything looks as good as I am used to.

Cheers Philipp

I have heard that a bigger sized nozzle, such as 0.6mm, is better suit for CF materials. Maybe you can do some search on topics of printing CF materials if you are going to use them a lot.
