Hi @maximit ,
That was the same for us in Europe, one monday, 10 Matte PLA Spool bundle popup, and some days earlier it disapeared …
I agree, PLA Basic is more strenght/stable than Matte !
I know ABS Offer, with or without fiber, are good for price, but the problem is ABS is toxic for users, and ecologicaly a problem, more than PLA is …
As Bambu Lab won’t take care of my request, 10 PLA Spools bundle, and as they increase the price of their most commonly used filaments, even though the price is already above that charged by other brands!
The latest spools of filament I’ve received (spread out since September 2024) are almost all affected by various problems, badly wound, the filament is crossed/pinched several times on the same spool, the end-of-coil fastener has changed and prevents the AMS from switching to another coil (even though the AMS is sold for this main function of finishing coils and switching from one coil to another), refill coils arrive deformed, coils/refills are poorly vacuum-packed, resulting in high humidity, and other problems…
As a result, I’m in the process of switching brands, even though I used to feel “indebted” to Bambu Lab for their equipment, which enabled me to break new ground in 3D printing, and even though I’ve long made the effort to pay more for my spools and tolerate delays of up to 45 days to receive my order, and manage as best I can to deal with Bambu Lab product stock-outs that sometimes exceed three weeks, but the wallet is and always will be the one non-negotiable item at checkout! !
I’ve noticed, for some time now, that many people have already changed filament brands, mainly because of the price, and the logistical problems have been the final straw in their use of the brand’s filaments.
Somehow, this change will enable me to pay less per spool, and also to have much, much faster deliveries, by having a product just as reliable for PLA, and, on PETG, a filament even more reliable than Bambu’s!
It’s a shame, what I think is a new strategy being put in place at Bambu Lab, between the “premium” filament prices, the catastrophic logistics service and the recent announcements of the closure of their ecosystem, I’ve come to wonder if it’s always the same people who decide, or if it was all planned from the start…
In short, I’ve only got a few spools of PLA and PETG filaments left, I’ve already validated three replacements from eSun, AnyCubic and PolyMaker, which complement the Prusament, and if by the end of my personal stock of filaments, Bambu Lab hasn’t come up with a real offer for discerning consumers looking for a fair price for each spool, I’ll spend my entire stock of spools on the “new” brands I mentioned…
After all, my friends have already done so for a while, mainly because of the exaggerated pricing and logistical problems mentioned above, and their prints are just as beautiful as before, if not better, so I’d only lose out on my support for Bambu Lab, who couldn’t care less LOL!
Happy printing to all!
