18% Gray Filament for White Balance use

ust a quick question, does anyone know of a filament that is 18% Gray in colour (color if you are American!).

I need to print a prototype that will be cleaned a lot, so I don’t want to paint or spray it, as it will wear off quickly. It’s for hygiene use, so ideally needs to be in ABS or PETG - PLA might do, but only for a short time.

18% Gray is the white balance shade used to calibrate colour photographs, as it has the same colour density in the red, green, and blue spectrums.

If anyone can help, that would be fantastic - I can’t believe that given the interest in photography and 3D printing this isn’t already a thing!

Thanks in Advance.

Be cheaper to buy a Grey balance card, unless you plan on making them, which finding the exact % of grey is going to be difficult unless you have someone make you some.

I agree that you can find a custom 18% Grey card in many materials. But if you want to print, there are a few custom filament makers like ColorFabb. ColorFab custom filament colors.

It needs to be printed as it is a part of the camera housing. Like I mentioned, it for hygiene purposes and needs to be cleaned - a lot…
Gray cards are not going to be practical as the will peel off or get lost.
