Man I’m starting to get feed up with this AMS, if it’s not failed to pull back error its motor overloaded.
Two ams with different problems, I’ve pretty much replaced all the ams internals. Ptfe tubes, feeders, support shafts, and motherboard.
One ams keeps having failed to pull back error when switching filament. I’ve found if I unplug the ptfe going into the printer and retry it starts to work.
Second ams keeps saying ams motor overloaded, but if I hit retry it works right away. Just keeps coming up with the message every few minutes.
Oh and sometimes it randomly starts flashing red lights on all the slots. I have to wiggle the cable and it fixes it for a while, till it does it again.
I have two AMSs and 1 has the failed to pull back error. I’ve not seen the overloaded motor. I can confirm that it is super annoying if you are running a long print that keeps switching colors and failing and you have to manually intervein. I see there are a few different fixes online mostly dealing with the angle of the filament as it travels from the AMS to the hotend, I’ll have to pick one of them at some point because this is getting annoying.
The filament I am using is Bambu and Sunlu (ordered from amazon), both brands seem to exhibit the same issue with the pull back. What is strange is sometimes prints work and there aren’t any issues, not sure if its the weight of the roll or random or what but other times I get failures almost every color change to slot 2, 3 or 4. Seems like slot 1 is the least error prone.
But it did. Intermittent blinking red lights.
