21+ seconds to take timelapse pictures and increasing

When I start the print right from the first timelapse photo the printer just sits there for 20ish seconds to take the picture, and as the print adds layers it takes longer and longer for the picture to be taken.
I wouldn’t mind the time part for now but the filament leakage from the nozzle and the spaghetti it leaves behind is ruining the prints as well as the build up on the nozzle from sitting there has knocked over the flush or there just isn’t enough filament in then nozzle to create the flush tower thus ruining the print also.

Just did a firmware downgrade (01.03.01.02) and its working properly again.

It appears bambulabs created its own problem

While I haven’t had mine sit and wait 20+ seconds at each layer, every print where I do a timelapse takes upwards of 5+ minutes just sitting to finish. It’ll finish the model, then move the toolhead to the safe spot for the timelapse picture, and then just…sit there. The bed is still heated, the print is still shown as in progress with 0h0m left, but it just won’t complete until it’s sat and pondered for what feels like ages.

I just don’t bother with the built-in timelapse anymore. The quality isn’t great anyway.

Good to know because I change the Timelapse pause to 30 and it still takes 17sec pauses. Hopefully downgrading will get my machines to complete the prints in a reasonable time.
