HI all,
So i’ve been having some trouble with this.
My first layer prints perfectly but the second one looks awfull.
It causes a misalignment of sorts i think? or maybe the print just loses adhesion on the seperate layers.
even when it does stay in one place it looks terrible when finished.
Does anyone know what to do?
Its with multiple filaments, original bambu tough pla and devils design pla.
It started when i updated my slicer but downgrading doesnt help.
I checked for clogs and did a cold pull a couple of times.
Performed flow calibration but it didn’t work either.
Never had a similar issue with my old printers so im not sure where to look.
Not yet, i checked for new ones but it doesn;t show up.
I already opened a ticket as well and got a response.
Might be a stupid mistake on my part, he told me my settings for 0.4 layer height was set incorrectly as i also need to use that profile in order for it to work.
I’ll update the post when i tested this as i get home this afternoon
So even switching to another profile didn’t really help.
But it looks like when it sprinted with a brim which it adds i think for warping, this issue pops up.
i noticed after the print finished but the bottom layer felt loose.
i stuck a putty knife under it and could peel it off.
a second print i did without the brim does look pretty good so far.
Im in contact with the bambu support team so i hope im getting an update soon again.
Posting here to keep track and maybe help someone with the same issue in the future
Try drying your filament, and bumping up your heatbed temp, also wash the plate down with dawn dish soap and hot water. You dont want any oils as it will cause adhesion issues. But how it looks kinda looks like you may have a bit of moisture or either a breeze from fan or nearby airvent.
Thats what i thought at first, but it happens with newer filaments as well.
Also if its a breeze or humidity issue i would expect it to show on the top layers but they are looking good.
when a model finishes now you can feel on the lower side that the first layer is like a sheet of paper sticking to it Not sure how to explain it otherwise
I seen on another spot where some people say they are having issues with there thermal paste drying out between the hotend and the ceramic heater. You might give that a check.
I’ve also read this, but they look like they are having a pretty constant issue.
When looking at mine it just covers the first couple of layers.
Appreciate the tip though. from what ive ready it might be a good idea anyway to give the paste a look.
I have the printer for a couple of weeks now so i hope its still fresh
I have some other nozzles but thats it.
I just got a file from support that they asked me to print. but its with a different plate.
And im not sure how to print without changing the filament as its removing the model from the palte as soon as i change something, which is normal offcourse.
I also checked some the gcodes myself and compared to another slicer i use for my ender and its look like its pretty similar.
The last thing i did was print a test object wich is roughly the same shape and also has the chamfers etc. just not as high. and it prints perfectly.
Ill update again when i have time to do some more tests. unfortunately i have to work the weekend so it could be a few days before i have time again.
