The final version of the wardrobe in the new topic:
I’d like to share my setup with two P1S and four AMS. Everything is configured in an IKEA Pax wardrobe. Maybe it will inspire someone.
Edit 24.12.2025 - I bought p2s and the cabinet has a new configuration - Photos in new posts - 2x P1S + 1x P2S with Ikea Pax - #34 by daniel.rynduch
Previously, all this was sitting on two Ikea Lack tables, surrounded by a sea of filament spools. My wife wanted her bedroom back. And this wardrobe setup cost about 300 euros.
This may be a dumb question but how do you fix the p1s printers when the filament in the back gets jammed and has to be pulled out from the inlet Port between the AMS and the unit. I have this happen to me maybe once or twice a month and getting back there with this configuration you have seems like it would be very difficult. Most of the time I get a filament stuck in extruder line that has to be pulled out and the only way I have been able to do that is by reaching behind the printer and removing it from the petg tube fully and pulling the filament out because the filament is not far enough in for me to reach from above the extruder if i remove the tube. It makes me wonder if it would be better for the p1s’s to be on drawers as well do you think they would support the weight?
They should be able to support the weight, but I’m not sure about vibration during printing. As for accessing the printer’s rear panel, I’m moving the entire cabinet away and removing the rear panel from the Pax cabinet.
I had a similar problem and printed a buffer mount that allows me to dettach easily the buffer from the printer and have easier access to the PTFE tubes.
