I’ve searched the normal sites and Amazon without success. Has anyone found or made a 90 degree angle connector for the back of the AMS to allow it to be pushed closer to a wall for example? Unfortunately I have limited space for my units on the shelf and the way the cord sticks out of back of the unit doesn’t help.
Just keep in mind that if you push it all the way back, you can’t open the lid anyways
I bought these cords for some computers, they have 16awg wire which is actually heavier than what BBL supplies. Be mindful of the amp rating if sourcing just adapters.
Also as KYZ_Design mentioned, you might have other issues getting it too close to a wall. Ventilation (don’t forget the auto vent in the rear) is another concern. Anyway they are readily available here in the US.
I have desk risers printed to allow for airflow so that’s covered. I’m okay with the lid clearance issue, I just hold it whenever I have to reload it.
Just to be clear this is the 6 pin connector, not the power connector.
AFAIK, this does not exist.
You have some solutions though (good or bad ):
- Use a wider shelf or screw a forward extension to move your AMS forward
- Drill a hole in the wall…
- I think there is some internal clearance on the back side of the AMS power board, you may unscrew it from the inside to push you cable further inside the AMS (need disassembly of the AMS).
- Use a molex connector and rewire an AMS 6-pin cable to it, it will not protude and give you more clearance than the original. You can use the below link which from the picture shows the right coding of each single connection.

or use a standard graphics card molex connector as long as you cut 2 angles to make it fit as below:
