9g 180 servo won't spin left

I am following along with the Formula Vintage project. Nearly everything is working, except that the servo I’m using will only rotate right, not left. It only turns around 90 degrees to the right, which means that it definitely could turn to the left.

This is my first time using a servo, so maybe I’m missing something fundamental. Here’s what I’ve tried so far:

  • Replaced the servo with another from another box
  • Replaced the right joystick on the controller
  • Updated the firmware
  • Updated the config file to use different slots for all of these components
  • Reset the servo using the button on the receiver

Every servo, every controller, every config does the same thing. It will spin right, but not left. I’ve run out of ideas.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Well, I finally opened up the controller and replaced the cable itself connecting the x-axis to the transmitter. Now it works. No visible damage, but clearly malfunctioning.
