A First For Me, Bambu PLA-LW RC Plane

The reel has been used and sat for 2~3 weeks in an airtight container, dried it again at 60C for 4Hr. I believe I have noticed it’s characteristics when it needs to be dried which is if it’s coming out of the nozzle all wiggly and not straight, it needs drying again.

This is an experiment…“don’t try this at home”…
Flow .6
Nozzle 260
Volumetric speed 6
Bed 55
Infill Gyroid 2%

Speed:
Outer wall 100
Inner Wall 100

Infill / Wall Overlap 8%

Quality:
Seam Position
Back / Contour

The reason for this came about due noticing an overhang in the horizontal direction along the travel path where the panel lines are, looked a bit like eyelids. In this picture notice the top of the bat wing looks like an upper eyelid.

The below good side is for comparison is the first I modified the overlap and speed.
10% overlap
Speed 100

The bad side

most of the zits brushed off by hand, as the printer approaches the seam it deposits these overhang lines due to a change in speed as it approaches, that’s my thinking and I may be wrong and open to being enlightened.

The bad side sanded, I use 3M 400

I’m really low on filament but hopping I’ve got enough left for the rest of the Dark Star, I’d say things are looking promising thus far, what I need is a new reel to experiment with further.
