I am having a problem that is odd, and can’t explain. Not that critical I can always use a different roll.
A specific roll of Bambu basic PLA white does not stick to the bed. I have come to expect much more than this from Bambu. It is a refill roll with RFID attached. the reader is saying it is what I expect it to be.
It fails on the first layer, of several different parts. My first reaction is I must have touched the plate. Supertack with standard settings for both plate and filament. Tried it on several prints I am not concerned with print quality. After attempting a few times I use a different filament and it sticks to the plate just fine. This roll works fine sticking to other PLA. White on plate, blue lettering above fails. But blue on bed with white lettering works. With the imbedded nature of the text it is hard to define how good it is sticking to the other PLA.
Apparently I just got a bad roll. Maybe mislabeled. Had not tried drying, bad bed adhesion is not a symptom I have seen. It has been in the #3 slot of the AMS with other PLA. Tried a different slot, same affect. the other similar white rolls I got at the same time have no problem.
It has become a quest to solve. Any clues what to try?
I have had a dozen failed prints from the first layer not sticking to the bed with this roll. Some the reprints. Have others seen a specific roll not sticking to the bed? All the failed prints have been the one color on the bed. Spaghetti detection has paused the print mainly after the first layer, or soon after. Even when trying to remove when it is still warm, it comes off the bed very easily. Some of the recent single layer fails some of the islands have been sticking as normally. Supporting the idea of just a bad batch.
I’d try drying it. Not sticking to the print bed can be a symptom of wet filament and new spools can be too wet right out of the manufacturer’s shipping bag with desiccant. The bags are semi-permeable to water and others have reported manufacturers may not even dry it before packaging.

yes I tried reprint with the different roll in the same AMS slot. (after canceling the print and just reprinted. Reprinted same slice, pointing to a different slot. Both came out fine.
will get a picture and send it tomorrow.
Will try drying it. I have not seen this symptom of damp PLA. worth trying.
it seams to be sticking now. The last print I tried with this roll some of it was sticking, some not. This is after 10 or so failed to stick on the first layer with that roll. With cleanings and other prints working between the failed.
This is consistent with the idea that it was just bad filament. But inconclusive. Not trying to point fingers at the culprit. With it working now, it is harder to know what the problem is. Take a breath and let it go.
The roll from ■■■■. Just after I checked it this morning. it detached from the bed and the print followed the nozzle creating a ball of plastic around the nozzle…heated the noz and pulled it off the ball and it basically ruined the noz. Will try the cursed roll in a few days with a new noz.
the flow calibration at the front came off the plate very easily. Yes the bed was cool by the time I removed but it was easier than normal.
I found the problem. the roll was mis labeled. It was actualy PETG. I figured this out because other PLA does not stick to it. and PETG does.
Unfortunately It took almost the whole roll to recognize the problem then run a few tests to confirm. Most of the spool was waisted in spaghetti or failed prints.
