complete disaster upon coming home…
came home to this after a print.

heated up the head…got some off but the hardening plastic had wripped off the nozzle locks and broke the plastic…er…fork things in grey on one side as it kept squirting out the filament. Im not happy to say the least.
im trying to contact bambu…it wants the log files…i go to where it says clik the log file in question…and thier site says its not a log file.
Anyone able to help?

hey I’ve had this exact thing happen to me its pretty much your printer didn’t have good an of adhesion so your filament isn’t sticking to the printer bed and it peals of and since your printer is still going that starts to get stuck to the nozzle and it ends up like a big glob and so my suggestion is to use glue because it makes prints stick and id also recommend keeping an eye on it for the first couple of layers to make sure it doesn’t peal. and could you help me with this problem I’m having?
sorry i want to make my own post for this but it wont let me so im going to use ur post

Bambu has good videos and instructions to follow in that situation.
Extruder “blob” on A1
Get a quality 1mm hex wrench! The one that comes with the machine is garbage.
It’s not too difficult but it takes patience and time.
Unfortunate that you [seem] to have broken the filament cooling fan (the grey “fork thing”). The fortunate thing is that replacement parts and consumables (like the cutter blade) for the extruder are inexpensive. Your time spent
Prepare to spend a few hours with potential for frustration in the disassembly and reassembly job but think of it as time well spent as the next time–inevitable–it will go FAR more quickly.
These blobs occur early in the printing process when the object is just a few layers thick. If these critical layers do not adhere then a section lifts slightly and gets caught on the extruder while it is still small enough to be caught and held as the extrusion turns to the blob that ate the head.
Also be very cautious when attempting to print a number of identical items simultaneously. The conditions that form a highly effective adhesion layer.
Clean the build sheet scrupulously and be certain to rinse, rinse, rinse!
