A1 Abnormal nozzle temperature help!

Hi,

I was recently given a broken Bambu A1 that I have been trying to get up and running again, from what the original owner told me it had a blob on the nozzle, which caused the toolhead to slam into self and caused two errors, they did admit they tried fixing it with no luck so gave it to me.

The nozzle temperature its abnormal; the sensor may have an open circuit

the filament cutter handle has not been released. The handle or blade may be jammed.

Luckily I was able to resolve the filament cutter warning by fully dissembling the toolhead, cleaning the sensor and following the wiki to rebuild it, but the nozzle error has been hours of trouble to resolve, I have tried these below to resolve the nozzle but no luck at all:

-testing hot end heater with multimeter, from what the Wiki says its working fine.
-buying new hot end heater element, tested on old mainboard.
-bought new main board as I did notice the Type C port(connects to TH) was damaged, I was hoping this was the saving grace but no, didn’t change anything but add additional errors.

What’s interesting about this issue is that if I enter maintenance mode and set a nozzle temp I can feel the nozzle warming up/getting hot to touch, but sending trying to extrude filament just causes the extruder to click and no filament goes through the nozzle. Everything else toolhead related behaves fine but there definitely is a feeling that the printer is “rebellious” as certain things do seem to do as they please? Eg if I manually extrude it will continue even if I press unload or the nozzle fan seems to have a mind of its own, this what made me think a mainboard replacement would resolve all this but I was wrong.

And the newest HMS code to come up since the board replacement is “Unkown HMS Code” (ill be honest I have zero idea on how to tackle this one as it comes and goes? My only assumption is that the SN isn’t registered yet so is confused?)

I have been in contact with Bambu support but its been… Awful, to say the least. Their current advise is replacing the TH Board + Type C connector but how much of a guarantee is this as I don’t want to keep burning money into this

You mentioned an earlier cutter error. is the blade actually retracted, or is it physically blocking the channel and causing the click+back drive as the extruder slams into it? With the nozzle removed, you should be able to use the extruder tension bar in one hand. And with the other hand put filament all the way thru, from the top, down thru the hole, unobstructed.
