A1 and CURA slicer

I’m thinking about buying an A1 to print my RC airplanes, but I need to use CURA slicer because Bambu Studio can’t print some special profiles called SURFACE (that were developed only in CURA). I searched this community and didn’t find a final answer if I can use CURA with the A1. Can someone share the gcode to include the A1 in CURA?

If i am not mistaken, there is already something about it somewhere around here… or maybe it was in another forum. Let me take a look and i’ll post it here if i happen to find it.

Edit: after looking at my browser saved pages, i found this. It’s for the mini but it’s a matter of only changing the bed size. The rest should be the same

Thanks Square3D. I came across this post a while back but I really thought it was an exaggeration to have so many lines in the GCODE to get A1 to work in CURA. Other printers I’ve used only need a few lines to work. Anyway, I appreciate your response and look forward to hearing from anyone else who has had success with a simpler GCODE.

I completely share your feelings about this. This G-Code is indeed overwhelming. All the printers I’ve owned in the past only needed a few lines of G-Code to work with Cura, so seeing such a large script without fully understanding what each part does is a bit intimidating. I’m concerned about the possibility of damaging my printer by using it. Has anyone here tried these settings and successfully achieved good results? Hearing about others’ experiences would really help build confidence in using this code.

Following this thread in case there is a solution. I have been using a Ender3 up until now, just Getting the A1 for early xmas gift. I like the options I get in Cura and also I love the “fuzzy” option in Experimental, It works great for some of my prints that I have a tight fit and need more traction in the grip. Also it works great for printing gnomes and such.

Welcome to the forum! If it helps, it’s in Bambu Studio too.

I have had a lot of experience with Cura and Prusaslicer in the past with non-ultimaker printers and with all printers Prusaslicer yielded better results. I just started with Bambu Studio (based on PrusaSlicer), which apperently is an improvement over Prusaslicer (not used long enough to confirm this) and Orca Slicer promises to be a step up from there. So I would highly recommend choosing either of the latter two slicers and use it for the A1 and maybe even the Ender. It might need getting used to some things, but in the end it is all there and more!
