In the photo you can see (1) rather poor surface quality with layer defects. I know my design has a shallow slope that doesn’t help, but the defects shouldn’t be there I don’t think; and (2) ironing failures on the top layer where the last layer appears not to have adhered near a corner and is missing.
This is fairly close to stock 0.28mm extra draft settings, but with ironing enabled and 5% gyroid infill. FWIW it’s using a smooth build plate and PLA from Elegoo I think - I’m close to halfway through the spool and haven’t had quality issues until now. The first thing I tried after getting this bad print was to throw my filament in the dryer, but after 2h I saw less than 1g weight decrease which is usually my signal that it’s plenty dry. Any suggestions? (Yes I know if I want the shallow slope to be nice I should drop the layer height a bunch, but I’m seeing a lot of print defects within-layer). Thanks!
