A1 base housing screws too small?

Hey folks

Got my new A1. Putting the screws into the base plate and they just drop through. Won’t bite onto anything. As if they’re too small / too narrow a thread. Anyone had issues with this before?

I’ve seen some people say tape might be there, but I don’t think that’s it as the screws go all the way through. They just don’t bite the threads at all :-/

drop us a foto pls
how huh

I put one through to show you. They all do the same. Just drop on missing the threads and sticking out the bottom

Using the bag of screws marked up as base housing

huh mine did not have that problem

Same issue here screws provided in the box fall through the holes.

Been fighting this all day. Something as simple as this and I can’t even assemble the printer.

Any solution for this? I don’t want to return the printer but wtf

Tried to assemble the printer and the screws just drop through as if they are too small. Others have had this issue as well. I am preparing to return this printer if I can’t figure this out. I’ve never been so frustrated with a purchase before.

//below is the aforementioned topic where I never saw a resolution.

Providing a picture of your issue will be helpful.

Here is a link to the A1 assembly guide.

Any solution? Anything at all?

Hey chuck…noticed they killed your post and it’s still not answered. I say just return the printer. Heck, keep on buying them and destroying all the packaging and returning them until you find one the screws will work on.

You’re replying to yourself in the 3rd person…

I’m aware. I’m at my wit’s end with this printer. This forum isn’t helpful and BL isn’t helpful either. I just wanted to assemble the printer.

I linked a step by step guide of assembling the printer. What step are you having issues with?

Screws for the base housing just drop through and come out the bottom as though they are too small. They don’t bite…they touch nothing…just dangle.

The screws for the base are in a packaged labeled as such.

Have you doubled checked that the bed is lined up correctly for so the screws can thread into the base?

Please include this. The sequence matters. I’d watched so many setup videos that I was trying to put the screws in BEFORE putting the bed and the other part of the printer together.

Thank you. I was doing it out of order and that mattered. One thing I am curious about though…the screws they put into the printer to secure the bed while shipping were not present. Any ideas why?

Glad you got your issue sorted out.

I assume they deemed them screws to secure the bed unnecessary.

Maybe? I watched like 10 setup videos and everyone of them had those securing screws present.
