Hi everyone,a few days ago my A1 has been making a strange clicking noise when the bed moves back and front.
I can’t figure out if it’s the stepper motor or the bed rails.
Has this happened to any of you?
I attach video of the problem.
Video GoogleDrive
Hey, I had some debris stuck in-between the bed and rail. But the clicking seams to happen every few cm. Makes me believe there is something stuck to one of the wheels of your Y rail. You might have to remove the bed to get easy access to all of the wheels. If they are clean and cleaning/re-lubricating your rails doesn’t help, it’s likely a damaged bearing. As far as I know, these wheels are not available through the online store, so you’ll have to open a ticket with support.
Thank you for your answer,
I checked and there is nothing stuck and the wheels all turn fine.
Initially I don’t hear any noise, then after about 30/40 minutes, the sound gets louder and louder.
I can also hear it when the printer is turned off, so it could actually be some bearing.
I opened a ticket but no one has responded to me for 10 days.
That sucks, did you try getting help via live chat?
There is a way to start a session through there AI chat client. At some point, it will let you rate the AI message with a thumbs down and then sending you a link to live chat with the Bambu support team. (This is only available during Chinese business hours)
A search in this forum for live chat should give you all the details you need.
I dont know how different actuators are or can be , but it reads like you have an issue with one , albeit in a car . (The only reference i could find)
what do you mean by actuators?
All of the movement and positioning of the build plate are usually accomplished with some form of linear actuator. The nozzle gantry, on the other hand, usually uses linear motors of stepper motors with belts to achieve the necessary positioning and movement.
Thanks for the post.
I saw, it could be the actuator.
I don’t want to disassemble the printer so as not to lose the warranty.
I have that exact same problem, and am going to take a look at it tonight - has Bambu gotten back to you by any chance ?
Hi, they replied to me saying that the printer was subject to recall and that we would analyze the problem later.
I chose to get a refund and they still haven’t come to collect the printer.
I haven’t used it since that day.
Mine has started to do the exact same thing. Did you ever figure out what was causing it?
Remove the bed cover- There is clear tape with markings on the bed to highlight specific holes for screw insertion during printer assembly. Check if this tape has come loose, as this could be causing the noise. This was the issue with my printer.
This is epic…I started searching for the cause of the clicking, and saw this post. The click would happened every time the bed retracted at the SAME PLACE each time.
Damned if it wasn’t the sticker peeling away from the machine!
Thanks for posting this!
Hi all, i’m having the same issue any fix?
Mine just started doing this, this morning. Did you ever get a resolution?
My printer started with the clicking noise yesterday, but it’s just a random not at the same place all the time. When I move it back and forth manually, it doesn’t always do it every time. Has anybody come up with a solution yet?
Greetings. Y axis Belt Tensioning helped me.
Pulled 2 times. After the first time there was less clicking.
Pulled it a second time. So far so good. I’m testing.
The problem was solved. By replacing the Y-axis tension roller. Or you can replace the MR104.ZZ EZO Bearing, 4x10x4 mm. 2 pieces
Any fix to this? I have the same problem too. After 30 mins of printing the clicking gets louder and louder as the time goes one. I can even hear it in the next room. Any help is appreciated.
