A1 blobbing, do I need new parts?

I had an a1 blob, as I was running a print while I was away. I was starting to get into the habit of cleaning the print bed after every print, tedious as it may be, and after doing so I ran a semi-risky print bed-adhesion wise for my printer. I got home and the nozzle had blobbed up. I’d dealt with one before, and cleaned it up then. But this time, filament got up in the wiring and kinda split the heating unit from the hotend holder. Do I need to buy replacement parts? If so, what parts? If not, how would I go about cleaning this?

You might be able to use heat to clean that up more, perhaps even the nozzle heat from the machine’s UI if you plug it back in but dont screw it down. Wear a heat glove, both hands.

Check the filament before buying parts. Blobbing that just started is often wet filament, not hardware — I chased hardware for weeks once and it was moisture all along. Try drying the spool (or testing with a fresh one) before swapping the hotend. My spools live in sealed boxes with molecular sieve at <20% RH and blob issues basically disappeared.

yeah, I just cant use my filament dryer because I lost the cord :stuck_out_tongue:
