A1 camera angle wrong

The camera angle of the camera on my new A1 is unuseable!

What about you?

Mine is the same

Your camera angle seems to be a little more upright…

The difference probably comes from the different Z height

The camera is just useless.

What angle would you want it at? (from the same mount point)

The camera is mounted to the gantry so it will move up as it prints. You would know that if you had printed anything?

I’ve already written this myself…

Nevertheless, I think apart from the low recording frequency, the camera is quite stupidly positioned and does not offer good visibility for flat objects.

In my picture above, a multi-coloured object was printed. Only at the end of the print, when the Z axis is not at the bottom pos can you see the print.

Here is an option to reposition the camera

I recently tried that model and it improves the camera angle and makes it useful (barring the bleh frame rate).

I’ve noticed the same, although the camera position of the A1M is suitable. The A1 is just too large to have the camera in the same position. I started a model to revise the camera without much hassle on the front and angled slightly around 10-15degs towards the rear. Haven’t finished prototyping due to another priority but I definitely want to solve this for myself.

A1 camera is unusable. I bought a TAPO C210 camera, and created a tripod mount for it and I just leave that next to the machine. 2k video feed and excelent night vision (albiet in black and white) with full frame rate.

That’s wild! Haha we just got some TAPO C510’s for the shop and I mean you can’t beat the price plus the local storage!

Just get a Blink mini camera on Amazon and print this mount for it, the built-in camera is essentially useless for anything but timelapse.

Makerworld model 122363

i got the same, you can just see your head, but it works fine, atleast you can see if your print isnt broken

Mines the same. I also thought I had an issue.
