I recently replaced the hotend assembly of my A1, and ever since it has started leaking whenever the filament gets to melting temperature.
These photos are with a 0.2mm nozzle, but also occurs consistently on 0.4 and 0.8. I have checked the hotend assembly, printing temperature, and nozzle position several times at this point.
New to the world of 3D printing here, so I am learning along as well - since you have confirmed the correct installation of the hot-end assembly, print temp and nozzle position have you attempted with different filament? My understanding that this oozing can also be caused by wet filament. Maybe try drying it?
Apart from buying new filament that is sealed, my only thought here is to try drying out your filaments as part of your troubleshooting. If you live or store your filaments in a humid environment, this could be the reasoning behind this.
Update, I have since completely disassembled and reassembled the printer head. No results other than discovering that the AMS lite also doesn’t work and instead tore the end of the ptfe tube without releasing.
Normally, they come out quite easily: Did you press the black ring in so that they release? That’s a locking mechanism. Don’t just pull on them with force… If you have difficulties with this, there is also this tool:
This is normal and no cause for concern! As long as this only happens when printing starts and the nozzle heats up, it will be wiped away anyway.
Unless the printer does it in the middle of printing.
If this only happens at the beginning of printing, you have dismantled your printer for nothing, because it is not a fault. It simply cleans the nozzle und build up pressuer, totally normal. It’s not leaking, it’s a cleaning and pressuer function.
At the end of the printing process, it may leak also a little bit, but that’s not a problem.
Final Update: I replaced the AMS system and the extruder motor, it was leaking during prints, and I can only assume it was due to it not retracting filament properly. HOWEVER! After I replaced it, It began to function normally again! There was some parts after turning it on for the first time that I was worried due to the nozzle leaking at first(thank you for explanation), but it stopped when it began to actually print something I had sent it.
