A1 "Enable AMS" in Bambu Studio missing

Hey,

i have the following problem: When i use the Bambu Studio, the “Enable AMS” in the Send Print Job screen is missing:

But the AMS itself show in the Studio, finds the right filaments and shows at the Slice Screen, that it should use different filaments. But when i run it, it will just use the filament, that is loaded at the moment.
I already updated the firmware and restartet the printer/AMS.

Update: When i start the printjob over the printer display, it works just fine.

The programmers of Bambu Studio took it out. i have been complaining about this, as i use the external spool to load TPU, and it no longer allows me to pick the external spool by turning off “enable AMS”, so even though the TPU was the last one in the extruder, it shows it doesnt exist. Maybe we can form an army to fix this. because the more i ask, the more I get insulted on “how stupid are you”. You are Literally the only person that has posted anything about this, and its been missing in the Studio version 2.2 & 2.3. and no one has answered my question yet.

GOD THIS IS SO ANNOYING
Just got my A1 combo and it prints only in 1 color. When I unloaded external spool it won’t print at all says filament run out. I can’t get this stupid thing to print using AMS by any means and this option is missing. I don’t know what to do.

As the op said it works only when I start print directly from the printer screen.

I’ve been getting frustrated with this as well, I messaged support about this, and still haven’t gotten a response back, when they’re usually pretty quick about this. It bricks my printer unless I use the microSD card slot, which kind of defeats one of the purposes I bought this printer for.

Have you got any response ?

I’m encountering same issue with multi-material printing using AMS Lite on my A1.

I’ve assigned PLA to the main model and supports, and PETG to the support interface layer.

The temperature changes correctly for the PETG interface

AMS shows both PLA and PETG loaded and active

Support interface is explicitly assigned to (PETG)

However, no actual filament switch happens its just continuing to print as normal, no pause, nothing. — the entire print is done using PLA, including the support interface

I have also tried adding a wipe tower, verifying filament assignment, and slicing multiple times. The issue persists.

Add me to ‘AMS enable’ snafu. This is my own fault for updating software - should have never done that. Was working fine - updated software and now have been fighting trying to get printer to use AMS instead of external spool. So frustrating…
