Hi, I am writing this post since the correspondence I have with BambuLab’s support is slow, and so far have been ineffective.
I recently bought a brand new A1 after having owned an A1 Mini for a little while. But the new printer is giving me trouble. After noticing bad print quality compared to the prints on my A1 Mini, I started troubleshooting. The issue is that manually set K values in Bambu Studio is not having an effect on the printer. Therefore it is printing without flow compensation and it clearly shows on the prints.
As you can see from the two prints on the left, the manually set K values is not affecting the prints at all, they are identical. A lack of flow compensation is also indicated by bad corners and over extrusion around the edge of the top surface.
Turning on “Flow Dynamics Calibration” (marked on the picture as “Auto FC”) is the only way I can get the printer to apply flow compensation when printing.
For comparison here are some identical prints printed on my A1 Mini. Here it is very clear that the K factor values is taking effect.
So I really wanna know if anyone else is experiencing this problem, and if anybody can think of what is causing this issue?
Both printers are running the newest firmwares and I am using the newest version of Bambu Studio (I have tried both Windows and Mac). I have tried factory resetting the printer, and formatting the SD card. I have tried running completely stock profiles in Bambu Studio, printer, filament and print settings. I have tried deleting the filament Flow Dynamics profile and added it again. Nothing is helping.
