A1 Homing problems

Figured out my other issues… Now everytime I go to print the first one fails due to x unable to home. But two minutes later and doing nothing I start print and works great. Anyone experience this?

Only when printing?
What happens when you perform “Home All” on the display, computer or phone without printing anything?
And after that, when you start a print?

So i calibrate it. It homes fine. When I go to print and if the have the auto level box check it will fail. If i uncheck it will print with no problems.

Then there might be an issue with the leveling. I had a similar problem with my Kobra Plus once.
I don’t think it’s entirely comparable, but back then, I replaced the print head, which didn’t change anything.
Then I swapped the included print head cable, and voilà, it worked again.
Maybe there’s something wrong with your sensor, too.
Otherwise, try rolling back to an earlier firmware version, test the printing, and if everything works fine, update again and see what happens.

Check during leveling if it stays on the surface or if it presses the print bed down slightly, causing it to move.
If it does that, adjust the Z offset so that it doesn’t happen anymore.

Check if the bed has any play or if it’s sitting properly without much wobbling.

I had a simuliar issue, turned out after all the traveling the printer had done before getting to me, the belt was slipping = incorrect steps.

Not saying this is same for you, but worth a shot maybe.

how to i check the z offset?

Good question, next question.
I’ve looked into it now.
It seems like that’s not possible with the A1.
I didn’t find it in the settings.
Sorry, since the Kobra series from AC can do it, I thought the A1 should be able to as well.
Maybe the self-calibration of the A1 is just better, so you don’t need to.
