A1 Hotend Heater Assembly plug loose on TH board

On my A1, while chasing down an error for the cutter being stuck, I now have an issue with the black Hotend Heater Assembly plug going into the Toolhead Board. I had to remove all of the connectors to pop the board out to fix the cutter issue. All of the white connectors snapped into place fine. The black one did not. I don’t remember any issues with removing it.

The plug is completely loose, not snapping in at all. The plastic of the plug is sitting completely flush to the board socket. The pins all seem to look good and straight, all there. The sockets look clean, nothing lodged. I can’t see how this is supposed to snap into place at all, and pictures I have looked at online don’t seem to show my connector missing anything. This is resulting in an abnormal temp error on the Hotend.

I don’t know which part is the problem, the plug or the socket. I have tried to force tension on the plug when it is inserted and powered on, but the error is still there, telling me that the pins aren’t contacting even when flush. It is like I’m missing a piece between the two parts.

Any ideas?

I think I might have found the issue. It looks like there is a tiny bit missing on the end of the plug connector.

I’m having the exact same issue - did you manage to resolve it?
