Anyone ever experience the printer purging filament, then cutting and retracting then erroring saying the spool is stuck or nozzle is clogged? I can’t get past this stage. It just started happening. Cleaned everything, replaced nozzle, recalibrated, inspected the filament path for broken or small pieces of filament and I still have this issue.
Take the AMS Filament Hub apart & look inside. I’ve found abut a 2" piece in there once.
Removed and cleaned this already, I will try again. Thank you for your reply!
do you have a solution yet? im having similar issues. before the print it will extrude which visually looks fine then it will cut the line and say error it couldnt extrude the filament.
ive tried factory reset, unplug, recalibrate, load/unload, different port for line.
everytime same story. filament extrudes well then hits error cannot extrude.
this all happened after the head and tubes jammed into a shelf above them on a tall print. everything looks fine and the filament is still extruding. hmmm
Did you ever fix this? I started gettnig this issue, extrudes fine, starts print and cuts filament straight away, doesnt even try to level or clean the toolhead
I just run into the same problem.
Got a fresh new nozzle out of the box, the extruder board is even new because i had to do a replacement…
Dosnt matter if i use the AMS Lite or the external spool
EDIT: Got the printer working fine again by turning off the “filament tangle” option in the settings
I recently encountered this problem–frequent repeated “tangle detection” errors–for the first time after more than 1,200 hours of printing.
The machine indicated stuck filament yet it would restart without any action save pressing restart. The spool winding was noticeably “off” as in not an orderly progression of each individual layer.
It was not overly tight resulting in hard jamming (usually at one side of the reel) as I’ve encountered before nor did the tension seem to vary which I’ve found can sometimes cause a tangle/hard jam when the relatively loose areas “open”–it was just irregularly wound.
Another spool in the same AMS slot did not have the same problem and the problem reel had the same problem in another slot.
I suspect this issue is often related to spool winding issues that may or may not be highly apparent.
This! Fixed my issues immedately
You’re my hero, brother. Thanks!
The same issue on A1 mini - instead printing the filament has been cutted, the reload new one ended by cutting again…
Double checked filament path, filament hub, filament sensor, factory setting, firmware update, different spools etc. nothing helps me to fix the issue.
Disabling "filament tangle” option in the settings it’s only workaround, not solution.
Has anyone actually managed to solve this problem?
Thank you.
