A1 main unit light slowly flashing?

Hi

Had my A1 Combo for a week. Been pretty good so far apart from issues feeding Bambu Matte Black. Anyway, currently printing a 3 colour model using the AMS. I’ve noticed that the main unit power light is slowly flashing which I don’t think I’ve noticed till just now - pretty sure it has just been solid white. There don’t appear to be any errors or issues with the print. Any idea what a slowly flashing light means?

Cheers

Additionally, the A1 and A1 mini models have an HMS indicator light that will flash rapidly when an HMS error occurs, prompting the user to check the HMS error message.

If the indicator light is blinking rapidly, you can go to the HMS page on the screen to obtain more detailed error information, and then scan the QR code to jump to the corresponding wiki page to get troubleshooting guidance.

My A1 power light is flashing slowly too. It seems to be normal.

It’s not normal. I have a pair of A1s and the second and newer one developed this habit of slow blinking after some prints (it would disappear if I did an off/on to the power button). I also sometimes (not always) got text message warnings via the screen about “plate warming issues”. Since it was still under warranty, I contacted Bambu support and at their request uploaded the “recorder” records saved to the micro card. Their response was that it is probably the “thermister” (sp?) and so a new heatbed is coming my way.

I should note that the printer worked reliably for hundreds of prints, despite the blinking light. But I knew the blinking was a warning and being under warranty and nearing the “anniversary” date, I finally got around to querying Support about it. I’m glad I did.

Despite all the complaints about Bambu Support, the three times I’ve had to contact them, I always got a response in a few days and eventual resolution. Technical support is tough to do and everybody wants an instant response . . . and that ain’t reality.

Thanks. Interestingly, the light only seems to pulse when the LCD display has gone into ‘sleep’ mode. If I wake it by tapping, the light seems to stay constantly lit. I’ll raise it and see what they say. Ta

when they blink slowly is indicates that it is in sleep mode and the screen shoud be black

So Bambu Support said the blinking light wasn’t normal and the occassional “heating” text on the screen suggested a thermamister (sp?) problem. I also submitted the printer recorder files while they analyzed this. Anyhow, they sent a new heatbed to install (I’ve done it before as part of the recall).

Anyhow, as stated earlier, the printer still functioned reliably and I could never find any actual problem that caused a printing problem. My older (by 6 months) A1 has never experienced this or any similar problem despite nonstop use.

Hi. I opened a case and Bambu said the pulsing light was normal. Go figure!

Read through this again  - A1 is at the bottom. The HMS indicator has three states - on, flashing and breathing. On means “everything ok”, flashing means “there’s a problem”, and breathing means “everything ok, screen off”.
