A1 MicroSD card

I bought the A1 and was hoping to use the MicroSD card to print models. For some reason, that feature doesnt work for me. I asked Bambu Support why the MicroSD card on the A1 was not functional and received this response: “We will follow up with a firmware update to support this feature.”. Funny they would sell this A1 printer with a MicroSD card slot and a card which are not functional and a software update would follow to provide functionality!

I think that where is some miscommunication here. The support representative was probably referring to the SD card being accessible via Bambu Studio, an option that is supposably in the pipe.

The SD slot can be used to print parts from. The included card should be functional as the prints are sent to it from Bambu Studio.

Ok thanks for the tip !! I am new at all of this… ))) I was trying to access the MicroSD card from the Studio Lab…

Just to be clear, Can I select and print files from any inserted MicroSD card using the A1 display menu or am I obligated to use Bambu Studio?

Thanks for the help.

You should be able to print anything on the card from the printer’s control panel. You can slice in Bambu Studio, save to the card, insert the card into the printer, and then print from there.

If the A1 is similar to the P series then the print is sent to the printer and stored on the SD card over the network. You can select the print from the SD card using the printer display at a future date. You don’t have to load the sliced file to the SD card unless you don’t want connect the printer to your network.
