A1 Mini AMS lite Filament Hub removal (permanent)

I know, strange question. Has anyone removed the filament hub (assuming I am talking about the right thing, it is the 4 way splitter at the top of the A1 mini’s print head) and replaced it with something so that there is only one PTFE tube instead of four?

I know, the first question will be “why would you do that?”, because I am sure whether it has been done before or can be done will depend on why someone would want to

I have a space I want to keep the printer, and that space is vertically challenged. While it fits, if you move the Z axis all the way up it bends the PTFE tube more than I would like. If I could make that whole assembly 1-2 inches shorter it would make me a lot happier.

Anyway, just wanted to check before I did something stupid involving power tools and a brand new A1 mini

I thought about doing this as well because it did not fit in my space. You can test this without using any power tools: Disassembly and cleaning the AMS lite Filament Hub | Bambu Lab Wiki

I ended up putting my printer on the floor, and started finishing off a new space for printers because I can see me buying more

Where is the fun in that?
