What hotend temp are you printing at…??
AMS Lite or external spool holder…??
What kinda filament…??
Steel or Hardened nozzle…??
Yeah, that’s not normal. You should literally be getting years from a nozzle. I swapped out for a .4 hardened nozzle when I bought my A1 (December), because I run abrasive filaments. I’ve been using the same nozzle since then. I’ve been running relatively hard, 8-16 hours a day commonly.
It sounds like you’re replacing the nozzle with a brand new one each time you get a simple clog? You should look up how to unclog the nozzle and also look into why it keeps clogging as that doesn’t sound normal either.
What type and brand of filament are you using?
The clicking sound and no material coming out indicates that your filament is getting stuck somewhere and the extruder stepper is skipping, either the Nozzle is getting clogged or there is some other problem on the way from the filament spool to the extruder which you just temporarily resolve when you change the nozzle but to not fix the root cause of the issue thus the reoccurrence where you then replace the nozzle again where there actually might not be any need for that to begin with.
Nozzles usually last a long time unless you are using highly abrasive materials (CF, GF, glow in the dark,…) with the standard stainless steel hotends.
I still haven’t opened ticket on this machine they deemed it Dead on Arrival in June supposedly sent me a new machine in July and here we are in January of 2025 ticket is still open machine still does not print won’t even go past the Z calibration prior to printing and they didn’t send me a new machine they called me a liar for saying that I got a new machine when in fact they lied to me and sent me my broken machine back and they’ve been milking me along I’m just putting this out there to warn people they do not care about you or your money you spent or invested in their company be very leery. You don’t have to believe me you’re welcome to go buy a machine and test it out for yourself but if you have problems with a machine good luck. And you better put a mark on the bottom of that machine when you send it back I should have.
