A1 Mini lead screw/z-axis noise

Hey, I am having a problem as can be seen in the videos. I have searched a bit around the forum and couldnt really find any issue that for sure related to mine, hence I am posting.

For additional context, I have not printed for the past 2 months as I had a break, and when I started again, thats what happened. I greased and lubed everything up and that changed nothing.

I unscrewed and screwed back in the two screws from the z-axis to the bronze/orange part below it on the lead screw, but the problem remains. I also have cleaned up the lead screw and greased it up a lot. Any help will be appreciated.

The 2nd video from the top…the lid is on.
Can you take another with the lid off see we can see inside…??

The lead screw noise sounds fine, it sounds like there may be a piece of plastic in there or maybe the plastic mount around the lead screw is cracked.

Here is the video as you requested. Hopefully that helps. If any other angle is needed let me know as well because its tricky to record into the z axis. One thing worth noting is how upwards it makes the noise louder than when going down in the z axis.

Still sounds like something is in there or cracked.
Try reading through this:

I looked at this but I couldnt really figure out how to get to any of those steps since the x axis seems to be taken off already and I dont want to accidentally lose the bearings etc.

I tried lifting the entire x axis by removing the two screws that you can see in the video, but that is conencted with the cable so I didnt know what to do at this step and I didnt want to risk damaging something in the printer itself. So what steps should I actually do and what should I disassemble?

I don’t have that noise, but looking into your problem…I think I found it.
I found a piece of filament in there. I moved it down & it stayed, but going back up it only goes halfway before disappearing. So I can see it going down, but it slides under at the halfway point. I moved it with some curved tweezers, but I can’t pull it out that way.I have to think of something else I can use.

So, look around in the same area. Put the printer at the edge of a table so you can see the bottom as the Z goes up, shine a flashlight inside & see what you can see.

So the thing is that it suddenly started doing it after a while of not printing. Right before, on the last print, it has not happened at all. And I also already unscrewed the z axis from the bronze part below it that clamps the lead screw and I lifter it from it, I could not see anything below it or above or between it and the z axis. The only other idea is to do a full disassembly but as I said I dont exactly know how to start with it since the x axis is held by the net cable.

Well, I don’t know where to go from here.
You can put a ticket in the Bambu & hope someone else on the forum might have an answer.

I did get the filament out on mine. Have no idea how it could have got there.

I will still try, I already asked the support and they just decided to sent me the z axis assembly and z axis motor for replacement, I suppose that ought to fix it because I will have to disassemble everything anyways for that. So I guess for now its just a question of how do I disassemble the x axis so I can follow the z axis assembly guide? (so that I dont disassemble too much of what I dont have to)

In theory, you should just have to do steps 3, 4 & 5.

Hi, I have exactly the same issue on my A1 mini, sounds 1to1 like yours, did you end up finding a solution?

I’m having the same issue. Where are the two screws that secure the sleeve bearing located?

Same problem, they suggested aligning and lubing the z-axis, but I did not have a chance to try to see if it solved the problem. How did you eventually solve yours? Or did you?

[CZ5022 Home before moving the Z axis что делать

Hello Guys,

Exactly same issue here after 260 hours… I already issued ticket, but did somebody resolve this?

I found some video with possible fix - loose two screws on bering, move Z axis to bottom and tighten them, but this definately not fixed problem for me.
