Is it normal on the A1 Mini to make that noise that is likely the frequency vibration test a second time after it has printed a certain amount of layers like 5 or 10 or a certain percent? My Mini does that every print but my A1 does not. It sounds exactly like the frequency test where it spools up and gets to the noisy part and vibrates like mad. But it does it as its printing and causes no print problems. It just doesn’t seem right.
Thanks
mine never did that, sometimes it does a movement to the side of the bed at layer 2 or 3, but no noises or vibrations
I was looking at the bottom of this page in the WIKI about motor noise cancellation. But I will wait to see if anybody else has this occurring to see what steps to take before I do anything. Maybe it only happens on certain print but so far it seems to happen on all of them.
Thanks
My Mini doesn’t do that and it’s surprisingly quiet after the initial sequence.
I’d guess that the frequency check is done through a custom GCODE, but it looks impossible that every project you tested has that
That’s an interesting thought on the custom GCODE. I may have to look into that after I figure out what the line(s) might say.
Thanks
I would look into that, but that would also be weird. Unless you are using a dedicated bambu studio for the Mini and playing around you were able somehow to inject a custom code by default. Assuming it’s even possible to do…
Yeah, probably not likely. Maybe I need to do a re-calibration or factory rest but I will wait in case someone has had the same issue before I screw something up.
Recalibration don’t screw anything and in my opinion is always a good idea if you moved the printer on a different surface.
Good to know. I do have multiple printers on the same stand but although it’s a heavy duty stand it still vibrates. I have 2 mini combo’s and 2 A1’s. The one on the top left is the one acting up.
Nice cave you got there mate. Let’s see if someone has a better idea
I notice you have an ams plugged in are you sure its not this doing a filament change , mine can make a kind of vibrating sound when it does
I am sure because I only have used PLA on number one position and have not added any other spools or tried a multicolor print yet.
Here is another view of the other 3D printer stuff. I got carried away I guess.
And my electronics bench in the same room.
Perhaps a quick check of the z axis for foreign objects , if its after a few layers

Ok thanks, I will look but I just started using the new printer and have only done less than 10 prints. But anything is possible I guess.
Thanks
Just wanted to report back. I calibrated the mini again and now when I print it still does the normal noisy, vibrating test at the beginning before the print but the second one it was doing is gone. Also, seeing my machine is new I am running with the firmware it came with that is V1.02.00.00 and my A! has V so I better update that too. But before I do, is it always advisable to update the firmware or better to wait and see if it introduces more problems. (I have an MK4 so have been there). Also my A1 is running V1.02.00.07 and it’s new too.
Thanks
Added: I found the firmware release notes on the WIKI and it looks like I will be updating today.
