A1 Mini - Nozzle scratching Build plate

I have had a A1 Mini for a year, and bought a new one with AMS a month ago.
The new printer has a problem with “remembering” its Z-offset or something related to it after a failing print is cancelled from the machine control panel.

Whenever I cancel a print from printers display, the printer seems fine. No error messages. Print stops, head raises a bit, and all axises are “released” (all steppers are disengaged, and I can move any axis by hand).

Then, when I send a new print, or same print with adjusted slicing settings to correct whatever was wrong with first print, the printer head lowers down to back left about 30mm from edge of build plate until it touches build plate. Then moves rapidly to the front left extreme corner of build plate while scratching the entire plate with nozzle. Then raises ans “cleans” nozzle on Purge Wiper, before lowering nown and scratching plate again on a last move from left to center of front of plate.

See attached video.

This happens every time a print is cancelled from the display of the A1 Mini. It never happens with my one year old A1 Mini. They run the same firmware (01.04.00.00). It was delivered with this FW, so I cant roll back to any earlier version to see if that would help afaik.

I will of course open a suport ticket, but I wanted to share here (tried to mark as Bug report, but couldnt find a category for it) also in case anyone has the same problem.

Probably no point mentioning that this ruins PEI plates and nozzles.

New here, so I probably dont have the right answer, but. check the x axis bar is sagging or loose if it only does it on the far, non braced end. Or maybe even belt tension.

good luck, let us know if you figure it out!
