A1 Mini returns to bed level during print

I’ve noticed that during a print, every 30mm or so, the print head will move to the right and then go all the way down to almost touching the bed, and then go back up and continue printing again. Anyone have an idea of why it would be doing this? Time lapse is turned off.

The reason this has started to become a problem is because it causes print defects on the outer wall of my print, and little strands of filament are sticking out the side of the print. When trying to remove them, it just leaves a mark that can’t be fixed by a torch.

This is a feature, you can turn it off, see here:

How were you able to resolve it?

I was wondering the same! And I did detect some surface defects on outer walls because of this. I’ll now most likely turn nozzle clumping detection off. Thanks for the heads up all! :slightly_smiling_face:

Even if you turn it off, it doesn’t stop doing it.

yeah I think there was a change or a bug in the recent firmware as mine has started doing it again (or maybe the firmware update switched it back on - I haven’t checked)
