A1 Mini Screen Locks Up

(A1 Mini-2050 hours; A1 Mini-986 hours)

Recently, my screens started locking at random times. I tried to isolate the Issue, but it seemed random. I came here for advice and was told to reformat the mini-SD card. I did it on one and no freezes since. The other is now used only for PETG and TPU so it sits covered until I need it.

Question: I have a 128GB card in each machine. My rationale was to give them the most memory so I would have no issues like this. Is this card too big? Can the A1 Mini not handle FAT tables of a 128GB mini-SD? What card size should I use?

I did not use the BL provided card as it was from a no-name/unknown source and I did not trust it. My 128GB cards are both Sandisk brand using the fast transfer rating (I think it is U10 or something like that. I would have to pull the card).

All advise appreciated!!

It kind of depends on what you use the SD card for. If you save timelapse or video you’re best off with a high endurance card with a decent capacity. Video files seem to be the biggest wear item on cards. If you’re only transferring print files then capacity doesn’t need to be that big and mid grade cards seem to hold up fine.
