A1 Mini - slight under extrusion after colour change

As the title mentions, when i use the functionality of the ams to have multiple colours - say 3 on a plate, but printed by object, I have noticed I MUST have a skirt, otherwise it does not print the 2nd & 3rd Object fully… it underextrudes.

So for example, If I print 2 items (to keep it easier), it will print the first, do its purge line, then go to the part, the purge line & retraction for this seems to be “too much”, in that the part, without a skirt, will print with the first 4 / 5 mm missing, adding a skirt resolves this… but it seems weird that the machine is so good at retractions between parts etc, and when you do muli-colour prints, but when it comes to moving from the poop bucket  to the build plate it seems to get it wrong.

I am using a mixture of filaments & I get the same issue on 2nd & onwards parts when using print by object using Bambu Studio (to be honest not tried orca to see if the same issue exists - but will try & report back).
The first object is fine if I turn on auto filament calibration, but I tend to turn that off as it only does it for the first colour anyways - and tend to calibrate my colours manually… but if I have auto filament calibration off, it will be the same as a 2nd / 3rd object.

Is this something others have seen or experienced?

Well it turns out that the 4 colours i had in had not been calibrated… ran the auto calibration on the a1 mini and bam, 4 1 layer thing cubes later… without skirts, all intact and working fine… run your calibration kids
