I have a Bambu LAB A1 printer, and it used to go through a bunch of preparation steps before printing a gcode file (like bed levellng, calibrate extruder flow, clean print head, etc.) and now it doesn’t even though I select bed leveling before starting the print and lately it jumps right into printing. This is not a problem, I’m just curious if I am doing something different or if this is an option that needs to be set in the Bambu LAB Studio.
I believe (and anyone can correct me if I’m wrong) that if the first bed levelling touch gives back the same reading as last time then it does not do the entire cycle. Only if it measures a difference in reading does it then start the mesh?
Almost correct, the A1 series does 4 touches on the corners and checks if they are in line with the last bed level. If it isn’t, it does the medium detailed test. (The A1 (not mini) does a super fine grid test when performing machine calibration.)
The bed leveling test doesn’t concern me as much as the toolhead cleaning test and extrusion flow calibration . about the toolhead cleaning and calibrate filament flow tests, How do I get the A1 to do those before a print. The last time I printed something on my A1, the first layer stuck to the bed at first but there was a small clump and after a while a huge clump of PLA filament surrounding the nozzle . I did my best to clear it out and got the filament to flow just fine and tried the print again, but this time, I received a “NOZZLE FAN SPEED IS ABNORMAL” message… I am not sure if the nozzle fan shroud got some filament in it but I can’t find any info in their Wiki replacement guides on how to replace that fan or remove it’s shroud on the A1. One problem leads to another. But getting back to the root cause, I think the nozzle wouldn’t get plugged up like that if those tests that I mentioned above still ha? ppened before each print How do I get my A1.to perform these tests before printing like it used to do… Thanks
