A1 Seam gap on 0.6 nozzle

Hello all,

Im having some seam issues using the stock A1 setting with a 0.6mm nozzle. I printed two of these cylinders and the other one turned out real nice, but for some reason, this one has the gap as shown in the photo. Does anybody know how to fix this? I have tried fixing us a couple times in the past but wasn’t able to find out what was wrong with it

And have a great day, Scott

The wiki has a lot of good information regarding seams and how to adjust parameters.

In my experience, especially when you print more than 1 copy, aka mandated travel every layer, especially at layer change, because so much filament has to be pushed out for a 0.6 nozzle, depending on layer height and filament, the A1 can struggle with Deretraction taking longer than desired to ‘get going’ again after a long travel, resulting in bad seam gaps on only one of the objects when you print multiple.

Like above, you can tweak seam settings, try to speed up filament Deretraction speed, or lower layer heights. I’ve found PETG-HF to be particularly problematic in this regard.

Thank you both for the suggestions. You may be on to something about the travel because if I just print one, it looks good.

Thanks again for your help and I will report back if I find anything that works after looking at the wiki sent over tonight.
