You can leave the Beta Program at any time by disabling the option in the app and installing the latest official firmware version.

New Features

  • External Spool Multi-Color Printing: Added support for multi-color printing using the external spool holder. Users can now manually swap external filaments during the printing process to create multi-color models (Requires Bambu Studio v2.5.2.65 or higher).

  • Automatic Drying Presets: When using the AMS 2 Pro or AMS HT for drying, the system will now automatically match the drying parameters for official filaments.

  • Filament Serial Number (SN) Display: Added a new feature to view the unique serial number (SN) of the current filament within the Filament Edit page.

Feature Optimizations

  • Security Enhancements: Includes essential security updates.

  • G-code File Printing Experience Update: G-code file printing now defaults to single-color printing using the external spool holder.

  • Enhanced Pre-print Checks: Added automatic verification for nozzle diameter and nozzle hardness before starting a print job.

  • PA Parameter Protection: Fixed an issue where a power outage could cause the Pressure Advance ¶ parameters for AMS filaments to be overwritten.

  • Tangle Detection Fix: Resolved an issue where tangle detection settings failed to take effect after being manually disabled.

  • UI Improvements: The external spool holder is now clearly identified by the “Ext” label in the interface.

Notes:

To ensure optimal printing stability and the best user experience, we recommend updating your connected accessories to the following versions:

  • AMS: 01.00.06.87

  • AMS HT: 04.00.21.86

  • AMS 2 Pro: 04.00.21.87

No print while drying?!

Is this some limitation of the firmware size with the A1, or are the plans simply to keep the feature to more “higher-end” printers?

I received V01.07.02.13 yesterday. Just verified on the printer.

Tracked down this thread because after installation, I am prompted to verify that filament has extruded when a print starts. Exact same prompts as if you are manually loading filament but at the beginning of every print. I don’t see any mention of this in the notes unless I missed it.

I primarily use the A1 for TPU prints so is this another effort to identify clogging along with the cold pull prompts that now appear in the slicer?
