So my A1 has been getting stuck on toolhead cleaning where the extruder will be in the front left of the build plate and stay there until I cancel the print. I’ve tried cleaning the nozzle, changing the nozzle and even switching to a new micro sd card as someone on the wiki suggested. I also reset the printer and I’m still having this issue. Nozzles used: .4mm hardened steel, .2mm stainless and .4mm stainless. Does anyone know the cause of this and a solution?
Hi, is there any message at the screen ? Are you sure that the printer is not waiting to reach a température ?
No message and I’ve let it sit for 30 minutes and it just hangs at 140°C
Same. Along with a host of other issues at different stages of starting a print. Sometimes it won’t cool down to level, and get stuck at 168. Sometimes it will level and clean the tool head, but won’t heat back up. Sometimes the cutter gets stuck. Bambu is sending me a new toolhead board, a new motherboard, and a toolhead USB-C cable. Printer is two weeks old.
Damn, just sent them a video of it trying to print a file they sent, hopefully they figure something out. Mines about 3 months old and the heatbed has never read the temp correctly, they sent a new heatbed but its still has the wrong temp. Hopefully they send a new temp control board or something. I literally have to use a old plate cause the bed just wont heat.
I just decided to turn it on again and try printing single color external spool, and have had none of the issue that i have had previously.
Weird, and you haven’t put the new parts in yet?
No. However, it made it two small prints. ):
HAve you checked for any firmware updates?
I have, I’m on 01.03.01.02 which i believe is the the most recent
The same thing just started happening with my A-1 last night. It sticks at toolhead cleaning and 140 C. Has anyone resolved this issue?
It was the main board in my case. I’d contact support and work with them to get a new board. Juat got mine in the printer last week and the new board is a slightly updated design. Since the install the printer has worked as good as new
Oh no, my A1 Mini does this constantly as well. I have just been power cycling it (no idea if that will wreck it long term, but it’s all that seems to work when it happens).
I hope they make a firmware update to correct this in the future, I’m sure they will eventually. Other than that minor hiccup here and there, ownership of this machine has been an absolute dream come true.
yea i have same issue in my a1. 80% of my prints are stuck, and nothing help. idk what to do some one have some tips?
I hope you fix it! I am having an issue where my print head is completely stuck and even when I take out the nozzle and the AMS filament thing on the top, it is still stuck
Try swapping in a new micro sd card. If that dosent help you can use an older firmware but ultimately if its not sd card its probably your main board.
Anyone solve this yet? I’ve had a ticket in since Dec 5 and it is still not working. They replace the Heatbed but didn’t work. Not sure what else to check.
Try micro sd swap but ultimately for me it was the main board, for both the freeze and my heatbed was reading wrong.
So i received the main board. I installed the main board. The printer worked for one print, then the bed quit heating. Cold as ice. And now once again, the same issue i had at the very beginning. Freezes during the toolhead cleaning with a temp stuck at 140. I cancel the print, try again, and the same thing every time. I downgraded the firmware to see if that helps but it doesnt. I have had enough of this. How about a replacement since it isnt even 6 months old??
