A1 Y-axis lubrication warning frequency

I’m getting the “It’s time to lubricate Y-axis guide rails…” warning roughly every five days. However, the maintenance guide states that lubrication should be done once a month.

After some research, it seems that some people simply ignore the message and follow their own schedule, while others believe the message appears when increased resistance is detected. Some also suggest that this frequency is based on lower-quality oils that don’t last as long, making it more of a “just in case” reminder.

So, what is the correct approach? Should I really use Bambu Lab’s oil for lubrication every five days? Or could I be applying it incorrectly, causing the printer to detect resistance? I follow the guide and the accompanying video to the letter, so I doubt that’s the issue… but I’d appreciate any insights

On my X1, this warning used to be on a timer only until sometime in 2024. Since then, it pops up after the frequency check, i.e. is measurement based. So I tend to follow its guidance.
Not sure about the A1 unfortunately.

Understood, for me it pops up after printing is done, but i don’t really know whether it is just a coincidence, or the measurements at the start of the printing process cause it.
Will look into that, thank you
