Ability to cancel objects?

Hey there, first post. glad to be here.
I was wondering if something could be implemented, were if you were printing more than one thing on a build plate, and something was wrong with one of those objects, if it would be possible to stop the printing of a certain object and continue to print the rest as normal.

I know Octoprint has a plugin that allows you to do such a thing. Just wanted to know what everyone’s thoughts were on this as a feature.

Edit: Added link OctoPrint-Cancelobject

Bambu would have to implement this (which would be a great feat) into their firmware. I don’t see any other way around it.

IIRC Babmu Labs has said they plan on implementing this "Soon"™.

This would be incredible to have. I hope they implement it soon. just had a small part fail on a batch of objects, and ruin the whole group :sob:

+1
Please add this.

That’s a good point: It’d be great if the failure sensor could automatically select which objects it needs to cancel in order to continue the print.

Would love this right now haha

Yea I would also love this, have asked several times since I got my printer a few months ago and was told, “were working on it”. Love the printer but klipper would of been so much easier for them to use. You would have the community helping them too with fixes for things.

How awesome would it be if the Handy App notified you that a failure has potentially occurred, and you could simply opt to move on to the next object right from the app!

I would say automatically moving to next object would be great, but it can’t be a brittle solution. You would get some very angry customers who don’t see the spaghetti the detector thought was there, just a perfectly flat model and maybe a smudgy camera lens or loose filament webbing.

Perhaps an option to toggle this feature when you select “Print by Object” the checkbox would appear for auto-skip or pause on detected fail and resume next object(s).

Also you could stand to place tags and categorize this post in the Feature Request section.

I don’t know if you can retroactively do this but I will upvote it if you/someone has to remake this as a different post.

Should be really nice feature!

this really should be one of their top priorities. as far as features go… people print a lot of pieces and the ability to cancel one item that didn’t work right would be glorious.

This topic has been on the roadmap since the printer was launched and still no word about it. I wouldn’t think it will be any time soon unfortunately.

I have a 16hr print going right now where 1 of the 6 objects have failed. This feature would be extremely useful now.

if its a X1C the latest firmware has it in it

Yell me how please. I need it

have you updated? there should be a icon on the screen and app that lets you unselect objects

Which screen? You’re being vague. I don’t see an icon for stopping an object mid print and letting the other objects continue.

Update Studio to 1.7, update X1C firmware to 1.06, read the release notes about Support skipping some models during printing.
