Ability to remove AMS filament types from the dropdown menu

The AMS’s filament type drop down(printer’s UI) is filled with a bunch of filaments types that I don’t use. I would like the option of removing them just like in the Bambu slicer material selection.

I was looking for this and someone on Facebook showed me the solution, it’s two fold, and I had to figure out the second part for myself:

  1. Go to Bambu Studio, click Help > Show Configuration Folder
  2. Search for one of the profile names you want to delete, my were buried under a long hierarchy that didn’t make obvious sense to look there, you need to delete the associated .JSON file(s)
  3. close and reopen Bambu Studio
  4. on EACH printer that is logged into your account that has the profiles you want to get rid of in their AMS lists, you must log out of the account, and then re-bind with the QR code and Bambu Handy (or the bind method on Studio) and your proper list will re-populate without the extra deleted ones.

Hope this helps someone else looking for this solution!

I tried this and it broke Bambu Studio, it would no longer load my printer presets until i put the file back. This feature really needs to be added, this menu is a nightmare for people with certain processing issues. I end up scrolling past the preset i want several times before I actually see it. At least a search bar, seems like a pretty basic qol thing.

Just wanted to up this topic. It’s absurd that I can remove some filaments from the ‘prepare’ tab, but have to scroll every time seeing a bunch of filaments I’ll never use and struggling trying to find the one I need.

Furthermore, they aren’t sorted in alphabetical order!

100% - That dropdown drives me crazy!

@BambuLab please add this feature
